1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes.'So how can the Obama 'birth certificate' state he is 'African-American' when the term wasn't even used at that time?

2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father.

No big deal, right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father
is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in " Kenya, East Africa ". This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth.

How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist?
Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known then as the "British East Africa Protectorate".

3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital". This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani
Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged.

How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

Catholic League chief Bill Donohue blasted President Barack Obama’s revised stance on HHS mandates for contraceptives and the morning-after abortion pill on Friday, calling it “the most serious infringement by the federal government on the rights of Catholics and others in 200 years.”After a deluge of criticism, Obama stepped to the podium Friday afternoon in an effort to stem the political damage.

The deal he announced would shift the responsibility for offering women free contraceptives, pregnancy-ending drugs, and sterilizations away from faith-based organizations, which had moral objections, and onto the backs of insurance companies.

The president ordered that the insurance industry would have to pay all costs, including co-pays, for those procedures. Although that appeared on the surface to take the matter out of the hands of faith-based organizations altogether, conservatives reacted angrily nonetheless.Donohue told Newsmax that several Catholic insurance companies would fall under the revised directive.

Also, many faith-based organizations self-insure themselves, which presumably means the members would still have to pay for the reproductive choices of others.“Quite frankly, he’s adding insult to injury,” Donahue said. “He must think the Catholics are stupid.” Other conservative leaders reacted strongly as well. Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B.

Anthony’s list organization, stated that: “Forcing insurance companies to be directly responsible for providing abortion-inducing drugs and forcing religious organizations to cooperate is an assault on religious freedom.” Hannah Smith, senior legal counsel for the religious-liberty organization The Becket Fund, stated: “This is a false ‘compromise’ designed to protect the president’s re-election chances, not to protect the right of conscience.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of religious institutions are still left out in the cold and will be forced to violate their religious convictions.”Another activist, Heather R. Higgins, the president of Independent Women’s Voice and a staunch foe of the president’s healthcare reforms, predicts that the HHS mandate kerfuffle is just one of a series of dilemmas the administration will face as it further defines the rules associated with implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which polls show is unpopular.

“Obamacare is a monumental abridgement of our freedoms, and this is just one example of it,” she tells Newsmax. “And the fact that this has only been changed because there’s an election coming up should give everyone pause. Because once there’s no more election coming up, what recourse are they going to have? Obama went along with this until there was blowback.”

The insurance industry appeared caught off balance by the decision to shift the burden to private enterprise. On Friday afternoon, AHIP press secretary Robert Zirkelbach issued the following statement:“Health plans have long offered contraceptive coverage to employers as part of comprehensive, preventive benefits that aim to improve patient health and reduce health care cost growth.“We are concerned about the precedent this proposed rule would set. As we learn more about how this rule would be operationalized, we will provide comments through the regulatory process.”

Now that the president has staked out his territory on the insurance mandate issue, attention will shift to how much political damage his re-election effort has sustained as a result of the controversy. There, opinions differ. “The controversy has not been well handled,” Democratic pollster, author, and Fox News contributor Douglas Schoen tells Newsmax. “The White House bowed to political reality to end a firestorm of protest. Now, the best asset for the White House and President Obama is a divided Republican field.”

Kyle Kondik, a political analyst at the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, said it become evident the administration had stumbled when left-leaning pundits such as E.J. Dionne started criticizing the administration’s position that religious institutions must provide, through their insurance carriers, health services that they find morally objectionable on religious grounds.But Kondik expects the matter to blow over and be long forgotten by the time voters go to the polls in November. “Catholics went for [Obama] 54 percent to 45 percent in 2008,” Kondik said, “but there's not much evidence that this is a monolithic group of voters.

My guess is that the 54 percent who supported him last time will be fine with this, and the 45 percent who didn't won't. Ultimately, I think this episode will be largely forgotten by the time the election rolls around, and today's backtracking likely makes the issue go away to a large extent.” He added: “Whether Obama wins or loses will be dictated in large part by the economy, with smaller issues like this probably not making much impact either way.” Donohue said the new Obama stance contains a “devious element,” in that it seeks to divide what he calls “a rather loosely formed and tenuous coalition of liberal Catholics joining with conservative Catholics on this issue in opposing Obamacare.

This is designed to peel off the liberal opposition in the Catholic community, bring them back into the fold,” he said.He predicted the strategy would work “to some extent, but it won’t work as well as he thinks.”Donohue told Newsmax that he believes the president’s ultimate objective is to require Catholic institutions to perform abortions.“Never in my life have I seen such a lust for abortion rights as I’ve seen in the Obama administration, and a contempt for religious liberty rights, particularly contempt for Catholics -- but not exclusively,” he said.

WASHINGTON – It was a wish list, not a to-do list.
President Obama's array of plans in his State of the Union speech was light on a key piece of context -- namely, that his hands are so tied until after the election that it is doubtful many if any of them can be done in the remainder of his term. There can be little more than wishful thinking behind his call to end oil industry subsidies -- something he could not get through a Democratic Congress, much less today's divided Congress, much less in this election year.

A look at Obama's rhetoric Tuesday night and how it fits with the facts and political realities of the day:

OBAMA: "We have subsidized oil companies for a century. That's long enough. It's time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that's rarely been more profitable, and double-down on a clean energy industry that's never been more promising."

THE FACTS: He left out some key details. The bailout of General Motors and Chrysler began under Republican President George W. Bush. Obama picked up the ball, earmarked more money, and finished the job. But Ford, which Obama mentions as well, never asked for a federal bailout and never got one. It's managed to get along on its own. Also, as part of its restructuring, Chrysler is not really a U.S. automaker anymore. Italian automaker Fiat now owns a 30 percent share, and it will eventually go to 51 percent under terms of the U.S. bailout and its bankruptcy restructuring.

Is This the Reason Obama Said ‘No’ to the Keystone Pipeline?

In rejecting the Keystone XL pipeline project this past week, the Obama administration did exactly what they told everyone they were going to do.

The question many are asking is, “Why?”
Why did the President kill the pipeline deal that so many Democrats, Republicans and labor union leaders support?
Was it done because:

A. – As the administration has said publicly, there is not enough time to do a proper environmental impact study?

B. – Thanks to alternative energy companies like Solyndra, we’re on the path to becoming an oil-free energy generating country?

C. – Billionaire Warren Buffett (and Obama advisor) has an investment in a Canadian railway that would benefit from killing Keystone?

D. – Is it because Brazil, the country whose deep-water oil fields we agreed to fund, is going to be selling us cheap and plentiful oil?

In the case of the environmental impact study argument, it has been noted that the project could begin moving forward and jobs be created as another study commenced. If the findings show that the pipeline’s route needed to be changed, or additional safety measures put in place, those could easily be added to the project.

The Solyndra question answers itself.
Concerning the Warren Buffett investment, Bloomberg News reports:
Warren Buffett’s Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC is among U.S. and Canadian railroads that stand to benefit from the Obama administration’s decision to reject TransCanada Corp. (TRP)’s Keystone XL oil pipeline permit.

But what about Brazil? Was the real reason that President Obama rejected the Keystone XL deal because he was expecting Brazil to start selling us some of the cheap oil from their newly-discovered oil deep water oil fields. Estimates of the underwater fields could make Brazil an energy superpower and a very wealthy nation.

In May of 2011, President Obama visited Brazil and pledged massive financial support from America in the amount of $2 billion dollars. Obama also hinted that the money being lent to Brazil should also put America at the front of the line once the oil starts pumping.
The President‘s wishful thinking seems to have been undercut by China’s forceful negotiating.

Last week it was announced that Brazil and China had inked a deal for oil sales, big oil sales.

Additionally, in the wake of the Keystone XL rejection, Canada‘s Prime Minister has talked about building a pipeline to his country’s west coast where oil could easily be pumped into tankers waiting to take the oil to

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, in a telephone call yesterday, told Obama “Canada will continue to work to diversify its energy exports.”
If you wonder what the Prime Minster means when he says “diversify its energy exports“, he is apparently talking about China. The Bloomberg News report continues:

Canada this month began hearings on a proposed pipeline by Enbridge Inc. to move crude from Alberta’s oil sands to British Columbia’s coast, where it could be shipped to Asian markets.

As the Iranians inch closer to realizing their threat to block the transport of oil through the Strait of Hormuz and the EU has voted to ban oil imports from Iran, the importance of oil from South American oil is obvious.

Some might argue that the oil underneath American soil and American waters would bring great independence and security.

As you know, your ex-wife gave an interview to ABC News and another interview with "The Washington Post."

And this story has now gone viral on the Internet. In it, she says that you came to her in 1999, at a time when you were having an affair. She says you asked her, sir, to enter into an open marriage. Would you like to take some time to respond to that? GINGRICH: No, but I will.

Big deal or just a paperwork shuffle? The Washington Post’s Juliet Eilperin breaks the news that the Obama administration will reject the application for the Keystone XL pipeline — but with a caveat:

The Obama administration will announce this afternoon it is rejecting a Canadian firm’s application for a permit to build and operate a massive oil pipeline across the U.S.-Canada border, according to sources who have been briefed on the matter.However the administration will allow TransCanada to reapply after it develops an alternate route through the sensitive habitat of Nebraska’s Sandhills.

There had already been talk of adjusting the pipeline route to satisfy some concerns over the risk being taken with aquifers in Nebraska. The permit application would have had to be amended in order to make those adjustments. Did that require a rejection from the State Department? Probably not, although it’s unclear whether the law would have allowed for a change in the current application. Perhaps some EPA-experienced attorneys could address that point.Here’s an even more interesting question.

The rejection allows Obama to fulfill the requirement in the compromise 60-day payroll-tax holiday bill for a decision on Keystone. If Republicans want to force Obama into a decision on the new application, they’ll have to force it into another bill, probably the eventual compromise bill that extends the payroll-tax holiday for the entire year.Update:

Looks like the recommendations of Obama’s own jobs council got as much attention from Obama as the Simpson-Bowles deficit commission, huh? “Drill, drill, drill” just got changed to “delay, delay, delay.” Leadership!

Between this and The One waging war in Libya without congressional approval — a move which his own lawyers found dubious, I remind you — I’m thinking the GOP really needs to run a guy next year with a less expansive view of executive authority. How about Dick Cheney?

The president used his power to name Sharon Block, Terence Flynn and Richard Griffin to the board, which arbitrates workplace disputes and federal labor issues. The controversial board — which drew fire from Republicans after its acting general counsel sided with an aircraft workers’ union in a dispute with aerospace giant Boeing — was in danger of becoming inactive when the term of Craig Becker, another Obama recess appointee, expired last month, depriving it of a quorum.

Block and Flynn are Democrats, while Griffin is a Republican.
“The American people deserve to have qualified public servants fighting for them every day – whether it is to enforce new consumer protections or uphold the rights of working Americans,” Obama said in a statement. “We can’t wait to act to strengthen the economy and restore security for our middle class and those trying to get in it, and that’s why I am proud to appoint these fine individuals to get to work for the American people.”
Labor unions, whose relationship with Obama had been strained recently, cheered the move.

Why would O risk a constitutional confrontation with Congress over something as minor as the NLRB or his new consumer board? Why, for the same reason he does everything: Because it might help him get re-elected. He’s going to run against a “do-nothing Congress” next year so he needs some dramatic examples of him heroically defying GOP obstructionism to serve the public good. And if that means taking a dump on the Constitution to help labor and impress middle-class voters, well, that’s just what strong, blue-collar presidents have to do sometimes.

The legal argument against what he’s doing couldn’t be simpler, as David Freddoso explains. Essentially, Obama’s claiming that he gets to decide whether pro forma sessions of the Senate amount to real sessions for purposes of recess appointments; that sure sounds like a violation of separation of powers insofar as each branch typically sets its own rules, but the beauty of this maneuver from Obama’s perspective is that he probably can’t be sued over it.

Federal courts will refuse to rule on certain turf-war disputes between the executive and the legislature on grounds that they represent a “political question” that should be decided by voters, not by judges. I’m not sure if that’ll apply here — what happens when someone ends up suing Cordray on the theory that he was never constitutionally appointed? — but that’s what The One’s counting on.

So shameless is this power grab, in fact, that even John Yoo, whose name is a curse word on the left when it comes to executive overreach, thinks Obama went too far. Lefty Timothy Noah, who supports Cordray’s appointment, candidly admitted today at TNR that he can’t figure out how this could possibly be constitutional.

(If Obama has the power to define when the Senate is and isn’t in recess, writes Noah, then he could theoretically treat every weekend of the year as a recess.) In fact, according to Mark Calabria at Cato, not only does the Cordray appointment flaunt the Constitution, it actually violates the terms of the Dodd-Frank statute pushed through by O’s own party:

More importantly the “recess” appointment of Cordray doesn’t solve the President’s problem. The Dodd-Frank Act is very clear, even a law professor can probably under this section, that authorities under the Act remain with the Treasury Secretary until the Director is “confirmed by the Senate”.

A recess appointment is not a Senate confirmation. Now don’t ask me why Dodd and Frank included such unusual language, they could have just given the Bureau the new authorities, but they didn’t. So even with this appointment, the CFPB won’t be able to go after all those non-banks, like the pay-day lenders and check-cashiers that caused the financial crisis (oh wait, those industries didn’t have anything to do with the crisis).

Meanwhile, Iain Murray at National Review reminds us that the names of the three NLRB appointees were only sent to the Senate three weeks ago. They haven’t been filibustered, so there’s no obstruction — yet. So eager is President Working Class Hero to start off an election year by defying Congress that he picked this fight before he had to.

Via CNS, here’s Carney warning the press corps yesterday that Obama was prepared to engage in unilateral executive action “small, medium, and large” to push his agenda. Let’s put this power grab in the “medium” category; “large” is reserved for wars like Libya that he’s undertaken without so much as a resolution of good luck from Congress. The more I think about this, the more it smells like O’s version of FDR’s court-packing plan, except (a) this is more constitutionally dubious and (b) this is transparently a cheap election-year pander. Exit question: What will the next Republican president use this exciting new precedent for, pray tell?

Philadelphia is known as the city of brotherly love and, apparently, paying out massive pensions to public employees who will continue working for the city. Marion B. Tasco, who has been described as being “politically savvy,” will retire from her sixth term as councilwoman, collect $478,057, and then be sworn in on Monday to serve her seventh term, Catherine Lucy and Chris Brennan of the Philadelphia Daily News.

How does she get away with this?Tasco, along with many of her fellow Council members, is enrolled in Philadelphia’s Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP). DROP allows city workers to collect salary and build up pension money during the last four years of their employment, writes Aaron Kase of Philadelphia Weekly. Naturally, when DROP was originally introduced, it was touted as being “revenue neutral.” It’s been anything but that.

SInce its introduction, Philadelphia’s DROP program has cost the city $258 million in extra pension costs over a decade, according to a 2010 Boston College study. Philadelphia’s Mayor Nutter has tried on numerous occasions to eliminate the DROP program.

“In September, Council voted to override Nutter’s veto of a bill, sponsored by Tasco that would preserve the DROP program, while reducing its cost,” writes Jan Ransom of the Daily. Nutter has vowed to work “tirelessly” to abolish the program.And his attempts didn’t deter Tasco.

“While many of Tasco’s fellow council members dropped out of the re-election race after controversy broke out over their enrollment in DROP, Tasco stayed in the race and won,” writes Robert Johnson of Business Insider.That means, come Monday, she will be elected as City Councilwoman for Philadelphia’s Ninth District, with all the pay and benefits that come with that position — as well as an additional $478,057.

As Business Insider points out, the city’s web page touts Tasco “as one of Philadelphia’s most influential, politically savvy, and pro-active public officials.”Over the next few days, Tasco could be proving that claim correct

I grew up in the 40s/50s with practical parents. A mother, God love her, who washed aluminum foil after she cooked in it, then reused it. She was the original recycle queen, before they had a name for it... A father who was happier getting old shoes fixed than buying new ones.

Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and lawn mower in one hand, Mom in a house dress and dish-towel in her hand. It was the time for fixing things. A curtain rod, the kitchen faucet, screen door, oven door, hem the dress. Things we keep.

It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy. All that re-fixing, eating, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste meant affluence. Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more.

But then my dad died, and on that clear winter's night, in the warmth of the hospital room, we were struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more.

Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away...never to return. So.. while we haveit... it's best we love it.. and care for it... and fix it when it's broken...... and heal it when it's sick.

This is true for marriage..... and old cars.... and children with bad report cards..... and dogs with bad hips.... and aging parents..... and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it. Some things we keep. Like a best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with.

There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special..... and so, we keep them close!

Reuters: Obama Will Ask for $1.2 Trillion Increase in Debt Limit by Week’s End‏ - Obama is out of his MIND! Impeach his crusty ASS Now!

Back in August, Congress passed a deal to raise the nation’s debt ceiling after a highly contentious debate between the two parties. Back then, the fight was over about a $2 trillion increase in spending. So imagine what might happen when Congress returns from vacation to find the president has asked for another $1.2 trillion increase in the limit.

According to Reuters, that’s exactly what Obama is getting ready to do:

The debt limit is projected to fall within $100 billion of the current cap by December 30. President Barack Obama is expected to ask for additional borrowing authority to increase the limit by $1.2 trillion.

Under the new budget, Congress can only vote to block the debt-ceiling extension with a disapproval resolution. Lawmakers have 15 days within receiving the request to vote down the debt limit increase.

The debt limit currently stands at $15.194 trillion and would increase to $16.394 trillion with the request.

Also of note: the supercommittee launched at the time of the debt deal that was tasked to find at least $1.2 trillion in cuts failed in late November. The minimum amount the committee was supposed cut spending by is, coincidentally, the same amount the president is set to ask Congress to increase the debt limit by.

The last time the debate came up, many Republicans (those who didn’t acquiesce and vote for the deal) noted that spending would not decrease after passing the agreement. Chief among them was Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK).

“In spite of what politicians on both sides are saying, this agreement does not cut any spending over 10 years. In fact, it increases discretionary spending by $830 billion,” he said at the time.

“I voted against this agreement because it does nothing to address the real drivers of our debt. It eliminates no program, consolidates no duplicative programs, cuts no tax earmarks and reforms no entitlement program. The specter of default or a credit downgrade will still hang over our economy after this deal becomes law.”

Debbie Downer then lectures Gretchen Carlson that “your narrative doesn’t work any longer,” to which a bemused Carlson responds that she’s just relating the facts:

Here are a few facts that seem to have gotten past Wasserman Shultz as the head of a major political party, and as a member of Congress:

Jobless rate in January 2009: 7.8%. Jobless rate in November 2011: 8.6%. Number of employed in January 2009, in thousands: 133,563. In November 2011: 131,708 Civilian participation rate in January 2009: 65.7%. In November 2011: 64.0%. Unemployment level in January 2009, in thousands: 11,984. In November 2011: 13,303 Number of people not in labor force, January 2009, in thousands: 80,554. In November 2011: 86,558

The number of jobs has declined almost 2 million during Obama’s term even without accounting for the 3 million-plus working-age adults who joined the population while Obama has been President, while the number of people not in the labor force has risen by six million. To give some perspective to that number, it took this measure six years to add six million people (Feb 2003 to Jan 2009), while it took Obama less than three years to achieve it.

It’s also worth noting that this growth in disconnected potential workers and the associated drop in the civilian-participation rate is almost entirely responsible for the published jobless rate being as low as it is, and the exodus of 315,000 workers from the workforce last month is certainly responsible for the drop that Debbie Downer heralds in this interview.Maybe the DNC should consider having a chair who has some connection to reality. But what fun would that be for the rest of us?

Lawmakers Blast Administration For Calling Fort Hood Massacre 'Workplace Violence' - Obama and the rest of you FREAKS Gotta GO NOW

Sen. Susan Collins on Wednesday blasted the Defense Department for classifying the Fort Hood massacre as workplace violence and suggested political correctness is being placed above the security of the nation's Armed Forces at home.

During a joint session of the Senate and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, the Maine Republican referenced a letter from the Defense Department depicting the Fort Hood shootings as workplace violence. She criticized the Obama administration for failing to identify the threat as radical Islam.

Thirteen people were killed and dozens more wounded at Fort Hood in 2009, and the number of alleged plots targeting the military has grown significantly since then. Lawmakers said there have been 33 plots against the U.S. military since Sept. 11, 2001, and 70 percent of those threats have been since mid-2009.

The chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Connecticut independent Sen. Joe Lieberman, said the military has become a "direct target of violent Islamist extremism" within the United States.
"The stark reality is that the American service member is increasingly in the terrorists' scope and not just overseas in a traditional war setting," Lieberman told Fox News before the start of Wednesday's hearing.

In June, two men allegedly plotted to attack a Seattle, Wash., military installation using guns and grenades. In July, Army Pvt. Naser Abdo was accused of planning a second attack on Fort Hood. And in November, New York police arrested Jose Pimentel, who alleged sought to kill service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Both Pimentel and Abdo allegedly drew inspiration from the American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and the online jihadist magazine Inspire, which includes a spread on how to "Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom."
Rep. Peter King of New York, the Republican chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said military service members are "symbols of America's power, symbols of America's might."

"And if they (military personnel) can be killed, then that is a great propaganda victory for al Qaeda," King told Fox News.

King said there is also evidence that extremists have joined the services.

"There is a serious threat within the military from people who have enlisted who are radical jihadists," King said. "The Defense Department is very concerned about them. They feel they're a threat to the military both for what they can do within the military itself and also because of the weapons skills they acquire while they're in the military."

The witnesses testifying before the joint session include Paul N. Stockton, assistant secretary of defense for homeland defense; Jim Stuteville, U.S. Army senior adviser for counterintelligence operations and liaison to the FBI; Lt. Col. Reid L. Sawyer, director of the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, and Darius Long, whose son, Army Pvt. William Andrew Long, was shot and killed at an Arkansas military recruitment center in 2009.

A second private was also injured in the Arkansas attack. Both victims had just finished basic training and had not been deployed. They were outside the Arkansas recruitment center when the shooter opened fire from a passing truck. The shooter, Carlos Bledsoe, pleaded guilty to the crime earlier this year.

In a letter to the court, Bledsoe said he carried out the attack on behalf of al Qaeda in Yemen -- the group that was behind the last two major plots targeting the U.S. airline industry.

"My faith in government is diminished. It invents euphemisms ... Little Rock is a drive by and Fort Hood is just workplace violence. The truth is denied," Long testified.

King said the web is the driver of the new digital jihad.
"It enables people -- rather than having to travel to Afghanistan to learn about jihad or to be trained, they can do it right over the Internet," he said. "And this is a growing role."

And while al-Awlaki and his colleague Samir Khan, who was behind the magazine Inspire, were killed in a CIA-led operation in September, King warned against overconfidence that al Qaeda in Yemen was done.
"This is a definite short-term victory for us. There's no doubt they are going to regroup, that there will be others who will be providing Internet data, inspiration to jihadists in this country, instructions on how to make bombs," he said.

While King was heavily criticized, in some quarters, for launching his hearings 10 months ago on homegrown terrorism, the congressman said the joint session shows the threat is legitimate, and recognized as such by other members of Congress.

"To me it's a validation of what I've been trying to do all year," King emphasized. "There's a definite threat from Islamic radicalization in various parts of our society, including within the military, and we can't allow political correctness to keep us from exposing this threat for what it is."

Dear Mr. President,

It is with a great sense of disappointment that I write this. Like many others, I hoped that your election would bring a salutary change of direction to the country, despite what more than a few feared was an overly aggressive social agenda. And I cannot credibly blame you for the economic mess that you inherited, even if the policy response on your watch has been profligate and largely ineffectual. (You did not, after all, invent TARP.) I understand that when surrounded by cries of "the end of the world as we know it is nigh", even the strongest of minds may have a tendency to shoot first and aim later in a well-intended effort to stave off the predicted apocalypse.

But what I can justifiably hold you accountable for is you and your minions' role in setting the tenor of the rancorous debate now roiling us that smacks of what so many have characterized as "class warfare". Whether this reflects your principled belief that the eternal divide between the haves and have-nots is at the root of all the evils that afflict our society or just a cynical, populist appeal to his base by a president struggling in the polls is of little importance. What does matter is that the divisive, polarizing tone of your rhetoric is cleaving a widening gulf, at this point as much visceral as philosophical, between the downtrodden and those best positioned to help them. It is a gulf that is at once counterproductive and freighted with dangerous historical precedents. And it is an approach to governing that owes more to desperate demagoguery than your Administration should feel comfortable with.

Just to be clear, while I have been richly rewarded by a life of hard work (and a great deal of luck), I was not to-the-manor-born. My father was a plumber who practiced his trade in the South Bronx after he and my mother emigrated from Poland. I was the first member of my family to earn a college degree. I benefited from both a good public education system (P.S. 75, Morris High School and Hunter College, all in the Bronx) and my parents' constant prodding. When I joined Goldman Sachs following graduation from Columbia University's business school, I had no money in the bank, a negative net worth, a National Defense Education Act student loan to repay, and a six-month-old child (not to mention his mother, my wife of now 47 years) to support. I had a successful, near-25-year run at Goldman, which I left 20 years ago to start a private investment firm. As a result of my good fortune, I have been able to give away to those less blessed far more than I have spent on myself and my family over a lifetime, and last year I subscribed to Warren Buffet's Giving Pledge to ensure that my money, properly stewarded, continues to do some good after I'm gone.

My story is anything but unique. I know many people who are similarly situated, by both humble family history and hard-won accomplishment, whose greatest joy in life is to use their resources to sustain their communities. Some have achieved a level of wealth where philanthropy is no longer a by-product of their work but its primary impetus. This is as it should be. We feel privileged to be in a position to give back, and we do. My parents would have expected nothing less of me.

I am not, by training or disposition, a policy wonk, polemicist or pamphleteer. I confess admiration for those who, with greater clarity of expression and command of the relevant statistical details, make these same points with more eloquence and authoritativeness than I can hope to muster. For recent examples, I would point you to "Hunting the Rich" (Leaders, The Economist, September 24, 2011), "The Divider vs. the Thinker" (Peggy Noonan, The Wall Street Journal, October 29, 2011), "Wall Street Occupiers Misdirect Anger" (Christine Todd Whitman, Bloomberg, October 31, 2011), and "Beyond Occupy" (Bill Keller, The New York Times, October 31, 2011) - all, if you haven't read them, making estimable work of the subject.

But as a taxpaying businessman with a weekly payroll to meet and more than a passing familiarity with the ways of both Wall Street and Washington, I do feel justified in asking you: is the tone of the current debate really constructive?

People of differing political persuasions can (and do) reasonably argue about whether, and how high, tax rates should be hiked for upper-income earners; whether the Bush-era tax cuts should be extended or permitted to expire, and for whom; whether various deductions and exclusions under the federal tax code that benefit principally the wealthy and multinational corporations should be curtailed or eliminated; whether unemployment benefits and the payroll tax cut should be extended; whether the burdens of paying for the nation's bloated entitlement programs are being fairly spread around, and whether those programs themselves should be reconfigured in light of current and projected budgetary constraints; whether financial institutions deemed "too big to fail" should be serially bailed out or broken up first, like an earlier era's trusts, because they pose a systemic risk and their size benefits no one but their owners; whether the solution to what ails us as a nation is an amalgam of more regulation, wealth redistribution, and a greater concentration of power in a central government that has proven no more (I'm being charitable here) adept than the private sector in reining in the excesses that brought us to this pass - the list goes on and on, and the dialectic is admirably American. Even though, as a high-income taxpayer, I might be considered one of its targets, I find this reassessment of so many entrenched economic premises healthy and long overdue. Anyone who could survey today's challenging fiscal landscape, with an un- and underemployment rate of nearly 20 percent and roughly 40 percent of the country on public assistance, and not acknowledge an imperative for change is either heartless, brainless, or running for office on a very parochial agenda. And if I end up paying more taxes as a result, so be it. The alternatives are all worse.

But what I do find objectionable is the highly politicized idiom in which this debate is being conducted. Now, I am not naive. I understand that in today's America, this is how the business of governing typically gets done - a situation that, given the gravity of our problems, is as deplorable as it is seemingly ineluctable. But as President first and foremost and leader of your party second, you should endeavor to rise above the partisan fray and raise the level of discourse to one that is both more civil and more conciliatory, that seeks collaboration over confrontation. That is what "leading by example" means to most people.

Capitalism is not the source of our problems, as an economy or as a society, and capitalists are not the scourge that they are too often made out to be. As a group, we employ many millions of taxpaying people, pay their salaries, provide them with healthcare coverage, start new companies, found new industries, create new products, fill store shelves at Christmas, and keep the wheels of commerce and progress (and indeed of government, by generating the income whose taxation funds it) moving. To frame the debate as one of rich-and-entitled versus poor-and-dispossessed is to both miss the point and further inflame an already incendiary environment. It is also a naked, political pander to some of the basest human emotions - a strategy, as history teaches, that never ends well for anyone but totalitarians and anarchists.

With due respect, Mr. President, it's time for you to throttle-down the partisan rhetoric and appeal to people's better instincts, not their worst. Rather than assume that the wealthy are a monolithic, selfish and unfeeling lot who must be subjugated by the force of the state, set a tone that encourages people of good will to meet in the middle. When you were a community organizer in Chicago, you learned the art of waging a guerilla campaign against a far superior force. But you've graduated from that milieu and now help to set the agenda for that superior force. You might do well at this point to eschew the polarizing vernacular of political militancy and become the transcendent leader you were elected to be. You are likely to be far more effective, and history is likely to treat you far more kindly for it.

The Senate is set to vote on a bill today that would define the whole of the United States as a “battlefield” and allow the U.S. Military to arrest American citizens in their own back yard without charge or trial.

“The Senate is going to vote on whether Congress will give this president—and every future president — the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world. The power is so broad that even U.S. citizens could be swept up by the military and the military could be used far from any battlefield, even within the United States itself,” writes Chris Anders of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office.

Under the ‘worldwide indefinite detention without charge or trial’ provision of S.1867, the National Defense Authorization Act bill, which is set to be up for a vote on the Senate floor this week, the legislation will “basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who supports the bill.

But it's whom he didn't thank that caused a stir on Twitter: God."We're especially grateful for the Americans who defend our country overseas," Obama said in his Thanksgiving Day address.

"To all the service members eating Thanksgiving dinner far from your families, the American people are thinking of you today."According to the White House, Obama personally called 10 service members in Iraq and Afghanistan on Thursday to say happy Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, the president, the first lady and their daughters, Malia and Sasha, did their bit of volunteering, stopping by Washington's Capital Area Foodbank to help fill care packages.

But Thursday morning, Republicans and others tweeted their discontent with the reported omission of God from Obama's address.Comments included "So sad!" and "God help us!" “When the bottom of a market falls out and the price of solar decreases by 70 percent in two and a half years, that was totally unexpected, not only by us — if you look at the range of predictions that were being made by financial analysts from the last quarter of 2008, 2009, they — the average — there are some outliers. But the average of those were not expecting these prices to plummet. And so fundamentally this company [Solyndra] and several others got caught in a very, very bad tsunami, if you will.”

In his defense of the Energy Department’s handling of the $535 million loan guarantee to the now bankrupt Solyndra, Energy Secretary Steven Chu made some bold claims about the overall effectiveness of the department’s clean-energy loan programs. He also made the case that the collapse in solar panel prices — which helped sink Solyndra — was “totally unexpected” by most financial analysts at the time when the department went forward with the loan in 2009.

There are a number of issues in dispute concerning Solyndra, but these two statements by Chu appear to be the most ripe for a fact check because they get to the heart of the issue about whether the clean-energy program is creating many jobs and whether the Energy Department should have seen the red flags concerning the Solyndra investment.

Gingrich to media: Let me explain the difference between the tea party and OWS - Obama This is what a President Looks and Sounds Like!

Romney and Cain took some well-deserved shots at the occupiers today too but here’s Gingrich ramping it up with a base-pleasing tea-party contrast. Between soundbites like this and the occasional roundhouse at debate moderators, I’m starting to believe those Rasmussen numbers.

Just one question: Is a guy who got paid big bucks to push expensive new government health-care programs really going to emerge as the “tea-party candidate”? If you missed Timothy Carney’s report on Gingrich’s work for the pharmaceutical lobby while Bush was pushing his Medicare prescription-drug expansion, read it now. Quote:

While the Bush White House and the Republican congressional leadership supported a bill creating a new entitlement for all seniors, Washington conservatives mostly opposed the bill. Gingrich went around Washington at the time plumping for the bill to free-market groups and activists.

“In the height of the debate,” one conservative opponent of the bill told me, “Newt was calling around” selling the bill as a great conservative measure even though it was a new federal entitlement.

Bob Moffitt of the Heritage Foundation, another veteran of the Medicare drug battle, tells me that early in the debate Gingrich favored a Medicare drug benefit only for the poor. The drug lobby, however, had settled on backing a drug benefit for everyone on Medicare. Gingrich soon changed his tune, and began pushing the universal benefit…

A source who worked for PhRMA at the time told me that Gingrich was being paid by “someone in the drug industry” — either PhRMA, some other industry group, or a specific drug company — as a consultant during the debate over the drug benefit. My source double-checked this with a former PhRMA colleague, who had the same recollection. The Gingrich Group operates the Center for Health Transformation, through which Gingrich publicizes his health care policy proposals.

The Times is reporting tonight that in July 2009 Gingrich used a WaPo op-ed to laud a health-care outfit that had been proactive in getting patients to sign “advance directives” (which, you’ll recall, came up during the ObamaCare uproar over “death panels”). Turns out that same outfit was also a paying client of Gingrich’s health-care consulting firm. Meanwhile, at Politico, it seems Gingrich remained a paid consultant of Freddie Mac until the bitter end before it was taken over by the feds in September 2008.

Seriously, given his loooong tenure inside the Beltway as a congressman and later a well-paid lobbyist and in light of his many ideological “eccentricities” over the years, how exactly is Newt more of a tea-party champion than, say, Romney is? Yeah, true, Romney has RomneyCare to his record and Gingrich doesn’t, but as Mitt reminded him at one of the debates a few weeks ago, Newt supported health-care mandates before supporting health-care mandates was “cool.” So why the obvious grassroots advantage for Gingrich?

Sarah Palin offered some unsolicited advice last night to Mitt Romney, the red-headed stepchild of GOP presidential frontrunners, encouraging him to more openly embrace the fiscal and social conservative side of the Republican party, and to develop a more robust relationship with the Tea Party movement.

This morning on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom, host Martha MacCallum asked Daily Caller founder Tucker Carlson and liberal “embed” Alan Colmes to discuss Romney’s strategy in engaging the powerful Tea Party contingent, which Carlson put in remarkably stark terms.

After openly questioning why Romney hasn’t made more of an effort in including an energized side of potential GOP voters sympathetic with the Tea Party movement, Carlson boldly stated what he felt to be an under-told story in the evolution of conservative politics, saying of the Tea Party:

Well I think the explanation is a little broader. Leaderless movements don’t endure because they can’t. This is basically a leaderless movement. But I think it’s had a huge effect, and its biggest effect that almost no one ever mentions is that the Tea Party destroyed the Republican establishment. All the people Republicans and conservatives have looked to for guidance have been basically discredited by the Tea Party, which has alllowed this current chaos to flower. That may be a good thing, it might be a bad thing. I don’t even know. But that is the legacy of the Tea Party. No more Washington establishment on the right.

One of the leitmotifs of the 2010 midterm election was what we called the GOP Civil War, and was perhaps best evidenced by the ongoing rhetorical battle between GOP operative Karl Rove and Tea Party Senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell. Carlson makes the astute point that business as usual inside the D.C. beltway is a thing of the past, which is evidence of a Tea Party victory in the battle for the soul of the conservative movement.

Given that Carlson has a lengthy resume of defending the GOP and conservative movement, it’s not difficult to imagine that when he says that he isn’t sure if this is a “good thing or bad thing,” he really is shooting a cannonball across the bow of the USS Tea Party, especially when Tea Party endorsed candidates like Herman Cain (and Sharron Angle of last fall) brought embarrassment to some in the GOP ranks. Perhaps the Tea Party has won the GOP battle, but some might suggest that they will lose the eventual war against their Democratic foes.

House Panel Votes to Subpoena White House for Solyndra Records

WASHINGTON – A Republican-led House panel voted Thursday to subpoena the White House for records related to Solyndra, the solar company that collapsed after receiving a $528 million loan.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved the resolution 14-9 after Democrats tried to delay the vote during a contentious debate.
Democrats argued the resolution was too broad and gave Chairman Fred Upton too much power. But Republicans said a subpoena was necessary because the White House has denied or delayed requests for thousands of documents related to Solyndra.

Upton, a Michigan Republican, said getting White House documents on Solyndra was like "extracting a tooth without anesthesia," painful and time-consuming.

The White House immediately slammed the vote, saying it has "cooperated extensively with the committee's investigation by producing over 85,000 pages of documents, including 20,000 pages produced just yesterday afternoon."

"And all of the materials that have been disclosed affirm what we said on Day One: this was a merit based decision made by the Department of Energy," White House spokesman Eric Schultz said.

"We'd like to see as much passion in House Republicans for creating jobs as we see in this investigation," he said. "We are disappointed that the committee has refused to discuss their requests with us in good faith, and has instead chosen a partisan route, proceeding with subpoenas that are unprecedented and unwarranted."

Congressional Republicans began investigating Solyndra months before the California company filed for bankruptcy protection in September and laid off 1,100 workers. The bankruptcy proved to be embarrassing for the White House amid revelations that federal officials were warned it had problems but nonetheless continued to support it, and sent President Obama to visit the company and praise it publicly.

On Wednesday, the government released nearly 1,200 pages of documents that revealed the Obama administration considered a bailout of Solyndra days before it collapsed.

The bailout that would have provided an infusion of cash and a new board of directors, including two directors appointed by the Energy Department.
Officials rejected the plan, which was recommended in August by the investment banking firm Lazard Ltd. Lazard was paid $1 million for analyzing options related to the faltering company.

US Attorney Dennis Burke was right to resign for his role in Operation “Fast and Furious.” But he didn’t act alone.

Documents suggest that a THIRD gun linked to “Fast and Furious” was found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. The FBI appears to have concealed evidence to protect a confidential informant.

How much more will need to be uncovered before we finally get the truth?

It is insane that our own government has given at least 2,000 guns to vicious criminals. Then they have the audacity to turn around and blame Americans for this problem and the violence in Mexico, and then try to infringe upon our 2nd amendment rights to bear arms.

CBS News has posted what it claims is a secret recording between a senior ATF Agent and an Arizona gun store owner at the heart of the botched operation “Fast and Furious” weapons sting. The tape could be proof that the ATF tried to suppress evidence found at the crime scene of murdered U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry.

Recorded around March 2011, the tape is the work of Andre Howard, owner of Lone Wolf Trading Company in Glendale, Arizona– which was the primary gun dealer cooperating with ATF in “Operation Fast and Furious.” On the tape, Howard is talking with the lead case ATF Case Agent Hope MacAllister, according to CBS.

This is significant because it means the ATF might have known months ago that there were three Fast and Furious-linked guns, not two, found near U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry after he was killed in a shootout with cartel criminals.

Originally, court records only showed two “AK-47-style” weapons linked to Fast and Furious were part of the investigation. And a ballistics report turned over to Congress months ago also only indicated two Fast and Furious associated weapons.If a new ballistics test shows the missing third gun was in fact the one used to gun down the U.S. Border Agent, it would be hard to argue that evidence was not intentionally suppressed to avoid scandal.Apparently, the Justice Department’s Inspector General obtained the audio tape discussing the number of weapons several months ago, and for some yet-to-be-determined reason, handed them over to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Arizona — a primary subject itself of the Fast and Furious investigation.

CBS has asked the pertinent question: ”It’s unclear why the Inspector General, who is supposed to investigate independently, would turn over evidence to an entity that is itself under investigation.”Increasingly, the answer appears to be a cover-up that stretches widely across the government and reaches up into the highest echelons of power.
In a national election year, a cabinet-level resignation due to scandal would be very politically damaging. For Operation “Fast and Furious,” it appears robust Congressional oversight measures will be required to get anywhere near the truth.

Sources say emails support their contention that the FBI concealed evidence to protect a confidential informant. Sources close to the Terry case say the FBI informant works inside a major Mexican cartel and provided the money to obtain the weapons used to kill Terry.Unlike the two AK-style assault weapons found at the scene, the third weapon could more easily be linked to the informant.

To prevent that from happening, sources say, the third gun "disappeared."In addition to the emails obtained by Fox News, an audio recording from a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent investigating the Terry case seems to confirm the existence of a third weapon. In that conversation, the agent refers to an "SKS assault rifle out of Texas" found at the Terry murder scene south of Tucson.The FBI refused to answer a detailed set of questions submitted to officials by Fox News. Instead, agency spokesman Paul Bresson said, "The Brian Terry investigation is still ongoing so I cannot comment.

Nutter, telling marauding black youths “you have damaged your own race,” imposed a tougher curfew Monday in response to the latest “flash mob” — spontaneous groups of teens who attack people at random on the streets of the city’s tourist and fashionable shopping districts.“Take those God-darn hoodies down, especially in the summer,” Mr. Nutter, the city’s second black mayor, said in an angry lecture aimed at black teens.

“Pull your pants up and buy a belt ‘cause no one wants to see your underwear or the crack of your butt.” “If you walk into somebody’s office with your hair uncombed and a pick in the back, and your shoes untied, and your pants half down, tattoos up and down your arms and on your neck, and you wonder why somebody won’t hire you? They don’t hire you ‘cause you look like you’re crazy,” the mayor said. “You have damaged your own race.”

Mr. Nutter announced that he was beefing up police patrols in certain neighborhoods, enlisting volunteers to monitor the streets and moving up the weekend curfew for minors to 9 p.m.Parents will face increased fines for each time their child is caught violating the curfew.

The head of Philadelphia’s chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, J . Whyatt Mondesire, said it “took courage” for Mr. Nutter to deliver the message.“These are majority African-American youths and they need to be called on it,” Mr. Mondesire said.

Mary Catherine Roper, a spokeswoman for the Philadelphia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, said her group sees the curfew move as legal with its sole caveat being that it not evolve “into an excuse to hassle” any youths on the street.The state ACLU filed a federal lawsuit last year challenging Philadelphia police’s use of “stop and frisk” searches.

A settlement announced in June allowed the program to continue, along with safeguards to prevent the use of racial profiling.In the past two years, the City of Brotherly Love has been the scene of several flash mobs in which youths meet at planned locations by texting one another and then commit assorted mayhem.

In one episode, teens knocked down passers-by on a Center City street and entered an upscale department store where they assaulted shoppers. On another occasion, hundreds of teens gathered in a restaurant district and menaced patrons, forcing some restaurant owners to lock customers inside temporarily for their own protection or to close early.

In the latest event July 29, about 20 to 30 youths descended on Center City after dark, then punched, beat and robbed bystanders. One man was kicked so savagely that he was hospitalized with a fractured skull. Police arrested four people, including an 11-year-old.Other cities have grappled with the problem of destructive flash mobs. In Chicago on Memorial Day weekend, roving teens flashed gang signs, knocked cyclists off their bikes and harassed picnickers.

Police closed a popular beach as the violence escalated.In January, dozens of young people stormed a popular Milwaukee mall late in the afternoon and scared customers and store employees.In the District of Columbia, about 20 teenagers entered the G-Star Raw store on Connecticut Avenue at Dupont Circle in April and stole about $20,000 worth of merchandise before fleeing.Story Continues →

In an effort to ensure their citizens are treated fairly in Alabama, 16 nations, including Mexico, filed briefs against the state’s controversial new immigration law that has already drawn fire from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Edward Still, a Birmingham attorney who filed the brief, told The Montgomery Advertiser that the nations “want to have one immigration law and not 50.”

"Mexico has an interest in protecting its citizens and ensuring that their ethnicity is not used as basis for state-sanctioned acts of bias and discrimination," the brief said, according to the paper.

Criticism for the law, which is said to be the strictest state-level immigration law in the country, has been fierce and swift. Besides the DOJ’s lawsuit, the Roman Catholic Church, three dozen plaintiffs represented by the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Immigration Law Center have all filed lawsuits against the state’s governor, The Montgomery Advertiser reported.

Gov. Robert Bentley signed the law naming it a crime to be an undocumented immigrant in Alabama and allowing law enforcement officials to detain individuals if they have a "reasonable suspicion" of being in the country illegally. The law also makes it illegal to give undocumented immigrants rides and requires school districts to check on the immigration status of students who enroll.

The Justice Department argues that the states are overstepping their authority by wading into something that is a strictly federal responsibility: immigration enforcement.
Proponents of the bill say the Obama administration and federal bureaucrats have turned a blind eye toward the immigration issue and refuse to fulfill their constitutional duty to enforce laws already on the books.

A 16-nation brief is different from a lawsuit and in many respects is symbolic without much legal weight.

AUSTIN, Texas (The Blaze/AP) — Openly and deeply religious, Texas Gov. Rick Perry organized what seemed like a slam-dunk event for a politician in a state where religion and politics walk hand in hand: He would fill Houston’s Reliant Stadium with fellow believers in a seven-hour session of Christian atonement by some of the nation’s most conservative preachers, exhorting believers to pray about the nation’s moral decline.

Since he set up the event scheduled for Saturday, however, Perry has become the most talked-about almost-candidate in the 2012 Republican presidential field. But with only 8,000 RSVPs for a stadium that seats 71,500 people, virtually no politicians planning to attend, and a slate of organizers who hold out-of-mainstream views on religious freedom, gay rights and even Adolf Hitler, the event has become a potentially risky gamble if Perry is serious about running for the White House.

But, despite facing what some in the press are calling low numbers, the meeting‘s planners are saying that they aren’t concerned. CNN has more:
Eric Bearse, a “Response” spokesman and former speech-writer for the potential GOP presidential candidate, says attendance numbers are a non-issue.

“Not concerned whatsoever. We think it will be a powerful event whether it is 8,000 or 50,000. The only people concerned about numbers are press,” Bearse said.

Some conservatives suggested the overtly religious event, called “The Response,” could distract from Perry’s key selling points on the relatively successful Texas economy and could backfire in places like New Hampshire, the first primary state.

“One thing Republicans are going to demand this election is a candidate who can beat Barack Obama,” said Alex Castellanos, a Republican strategist who has worked for Perry opponents but is now unaligned. “The election is all about him. A candidate who establishes his identity on the fringe, talking about social and religious issues, when the economy is going over a cliff, risks marginalizing himself, becoming unacceptable to independents and unelectable. That would be the kiss of death.”

Castellanos added: “Perry should be trying to establish recognition as the minister of job creation. This leads him to build an identity as just a minister.” In a recent CBN interview, though, Perry touted both his economic accomplishments in Texas — particularly the job creation that has occurred under his watch — and his stances on social issues. During his dialogue with CNB’s Jennifer Wishon, Perry said:
“I support the federal marriage amendment and I also support the same with the issue of abortion. And I also that same process for a balanced budget amendment to the United States Constitution so Washington will finally get the message of, ‘Hey, quit spending all the money.”

Mark McKinnon, a GOP consultant and former aide to President George W. Bush, dismissed some of the criticisms and explained that success will be measured in how Perry handles himself.
“He has quickly become a favorite of the Tea Party types and social conservatives,” McKinnon said. “The question will be whether Perry can calibrate his remarks in a way that makes him appealing to a broader audience.”

The gathering could give the Texas governor a chance to further demonstrate his bona fides with the Republican Party’s social conservatives, who are being aggressively courted by several candidates already in the race. Others worry a rally of Christian fundamentalism, and one involving several controversial religious organizations, could alienate independent voters and conservatives who are more focused on economic issues.
Perry is not expected to announce his decision on a presidential bid until sometime after the rally.

Perry, 61, began organizing the gathering in December. A month earlier, on the day Texas voters gave Perry a third full term in office, he told The Associated Press that he held many political views that were too extreme for a presidential candidate. The sponsors of the rally hold similar views.
In a video invitation, Perry says it was inspired by the Old Testament Book of Joel, with an apocalyptic passage on God’s army marching on the Israelites to punish them for their moral decline. Perry says America is facing a similar moral crisis today. In Joel, God calls on the Israelites to come together in a “sacred assembly” with “fasting, with weeping and with mourning.” Perry said Americans should do the same at the gathering at Reliant Stadium, where the 2004 Super Bowl was held.

“Given the trials that beset our nation and world, from the global economic downturn to natural disasters, the lingering danger of terrorism and continued debasement of our culture, I believe it is time to convene the leaders from each of our United States in a day of prayer and fasting,” Perry wrote in the invitation he sent to all of the other governors in the United States, members of Congress, the Obama administration and the Texas Legislature, among others.

But only one of those politicians, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, has said he will attend. Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, who is running for Senate, and state House Speaker Joe Straus, who is Jewish, have declined. About 8,000 people have registered for the free event, leaving the prospect of 64,000 empty seats in the stadium. By comparison, nearby Lakewood Church – the nation’s largest megachurch, headlined by the Rev. Joel Osteen – averages 30,000 worshippers a week.

The American Family Association is paying for the event – no public money is involved. The evangelical association is a nonprofit that describes itself as being “on the front lines of America’s culture war” and was previously known as the National Federation for Decency.

The group, based in Tupelo, Miss., publishes a magazine and operates 200 radio stations. The group condemns homosexuality, opposes abortion rights and argues that the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious freedom only applies to Christians.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled the association a hate group for spreading misinformation about homosexuals and transgender people. Perry has dismissed such characterizations and appeared on a Christian radio show with the association’s president, Tim Wildmon.
The prayer gathering “is not political, it’s not about promoting an organization. … It’s about people calling out to God,” Perry said on July 14. “I want God helping me, guiding me, giving me direction.”

Bryan Fischer, the association’s director of issue analysis, said after the massacre in Norway that suspect Anders Breivik was the Charles Manson of his country. But Fischer went on to argue that Breivik’s opposition to multiculturalism had some merit.

“Much of his analysis of cultural trends in Europe and the danger created by Islamic immigration and infiltration is accurate,” Fischer wrote. “Breivik’s angst was caused by the presence of so many Muslims in Norway and Europe, which he correctly observes is leading to `cultural annihilation.’”
Another group sponsoring the event is the International House of Prayer, a Christian missionary group based in Kansas City, Mo. The church’s founder, Mike Bickle, has called Oprah Winfrey’s tolerance and popularity a precursor to the apocalypse, and he has called on Christians to use “spiritual warfare” against legalized abortion and gay rights.

Another key pastor speaking at “The Response” is televangelist John Hagee. GOP presidential nominee John McCain rejected Hagee’s endorsement in 2008 after a recording from the late 1990s surfaced in which the preacher suggested God sent Adolf Hitler to hunt Jews so that they would go to the Promised Land.

Perry said “The Response” is designed to focus on God, not politicians. ”There will be folks who think it’s something else, that there are other motivations. But it’s not about me,” Perry said. “It’s about Him.”

A complete accounting is almost impossible because a media component is part of so many Soros-funded operations.This information is part of an upcoming report by the Media Research Centers Business & Media Institute which has been looking into George Soros and his influence on the media.
It turns out that Soros' influence doesn't just include connections to top mainstream news organizations such as NBC, ABC, The New York Times and Washington Post.

It’s a battle that’s been a long time coming. We’ve watched for at least the last year while the President and his enablers have essentially shut down various elements of domestic energy production, first through a moratorium and then through a permitorium.

And judging by reader responses here there has also been a palpable sense of frustration with Congress and their seeming inability break this impasse.

H.R. 1229 Putting the Gulf of Mexico Back to Work Act. To amend the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to facilitate the safe and timely production of American energy resources from the Gulf of Mexico.

H.R. 1230 Restarting American Offshore Leasing Now Act. To require the Secretary of the Interior to conduct certain offshore oil and gas lease sales, and for other purposes.

H.R. 1231 Reversing President Obama’s Offshore Moratorium Act. To amend the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to require that each 5-year offshore oil and gas leasing program offer leasing in the areas with the most prospective oil and gas resources, to establish a domestic oil and natural gas production goal, and for other purposes.

We can’t expect much more of an “in your face” approach to the problem out of Congress than this, and it’s high time for it indeed. Just to cut through the required legislative jargon, these three bills would produce, among other items, two significant results in the critical areas of concern:

First, petitioners seeking drilling permits would be required by law to receive an answer to their request within thirty days. (For complex requests, two extension periods would be offered.) This gives them a fair opportunity to find out if they are in compliance with all regulations in a timely fashion, and if denied, be told specifically what needs to be done to reach compliance and get their permits.

Second, at the rate we’re currently going this could be the first time in a generation when the government did not offer a sale of leases for energy exploration. This legislative effort will ensure that new leases are made available. Further, we’re going to make sure that energy exploration is targeted to areas known to have the highest potential for actually producing. (Gee, that was complicated, wasn’t it?)

When we contacted the office of the House Committee on Natural Resources yesterday they provided Hot Air with the following statement, further clarifying what we can expect.

Today, the House will vote on legislation to expand offshore American energy production in a safe and responsible way. Part of the House Republicans’ American Energy Initiative, the Restarting American Offshore Leasing Now Act will create jobs, lower gasoline prices and generate new revenue by requiring offshore lease sales that were canceled by the Obama Administration. This is just one of several bills to be voted on in May that will boost our economy and reduce our dependency on unstable foreign countries.

America’s energy future must be made more secure and must focus on domestic energy resources. Providing the leadership and guidance America needs at this time will calm markets. It would also reassure Americans that there is a vision and plan for America to become energy independent and not have our energy prices defined by the stability of Middle Eastern dictatorships, revolutions or armed conflicts.

I know we give Congress a lot of grief at times, and some of it well deserved. But when they step up to the plate and do the right thing they deserve our support.

This would be a good time to take to the phones and see this process through. Even Democrats in Congress are feeling the pressure from unemployed constituents who will soon be paying five dollars per gallon for gasoline, and the President can’t be unaware of it. It’s time to call them out on it and essentially dare them to block these bills from becoming law. I, for one, don’t think they’ll take us up on that dare

The California Federation of Teachers — a branch of the AFL-CIO — has adopted a resolution at its annual conference supporting convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, the Daily Caller reports.

From TheDC, which notes that Abu-Jamal is now being called a “journalist:” Among the resolutions largely pertaining to education and collective bargaining rights was Resolution 19 – to “Reaffirm support for death row journalist.”“Therefore, be it resolved, that the California Federation of Teachers reaffirm its support and demand that the courts consider the evidence of innocence of Mumia Abu-Jamal,” the Committee Report reads.

Mumia Abu-Jamal, a former member of the Black Panther Party, was convicted of shooting, multiple times, Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981.

He reportedly confessed to the crime and was given the death penalty.Instead of recognizing Abu-Jamal’s conviction, the federation believes he is innocent and a civil rights hero.“Mumia Abu-Jamal has for decades as a journalist fought courageously against racism and police brutality and for the human rights of all people and has taken strong stands in support of working people involved in labor struggles and in support of well-funded, quality, public education,” the resolution reads.

But not everyone is convinced.“Somebody should tell the California Teachers Federation that this is over, he is in jail, he is going to stay there,” Daniel Flynn, author of “Cop killer: How Mumia Abu-Jamal conned millions into believing he was framed, told TheDC. “You have numerous eyewitnesses saying Mumia did it. You had ballistic evidence – Mumia’s gun at the scene was consistent with the bullet used to kill Faulkner.

Mumia admitted after the fact that he did it.”That doesn’t matter to the CFT. “The delegates decided it was time to reiterate that they supported him due to the irregularities that they felt had taken place during his case,” a spokesman for the organization told TheDC.

As Egypt's government attempts to crackdown on street protests by shutting down Internet and mobile phone services, the US is preparing to reintroduce a bill that could be used to shut down the Internet.The legislation, which would grant US President Barack Obama powers to seize control of and even shut down the internet, would soon be reintroduced to a senate committee, Wired.com reported.It was initially introduced last year but expired with a new Congress.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The ledger did not appear to be adding up Tuesday night when President Barack Obama urged more spending on one hand and a spending freeze on the other.

Obama spoke ambitiously of putting money into roads, research, education, efficient cars, high-speed rail and other initiatives in his State of the Union speech. He pointed to the transportation and construction projects of the last two years and proposed "we redouble these efforts." He coupled this with a call to "freeze annual domestic spending for the next five years."

But Obama offered far more examples of where he would spend than where he would cut, and some of the areas he identified for savings are not certain to yield much if anything.

For example, he said he wants to eliminate "billions in taxpayer dollars we currently give to oil companies." Yet he made a similar proposal last year that went nowhere. He sought $36.5 billion in tax increases on oil and gas companies over the next decade, but Congress largely ignored the request, even though Democrats were then in charge of both houses of Congress.
A look at some of Obama's statements Tuesday night and how they compare with the facts:

OBAMA: Tackling the deficit "means further reducing health care costs, including programs like Medicare and Medicaid, which are the single biggest contributor to our long-term deficit. Health insurance reform will slow these rising costs, which is part of why nonpartisan economists have said that repealing the health care law would add a quarter of a trillion dollars to our deficit."

THE FACTS: The idea that Obama's health care law saves money for the government is based on some arguable assumptions.

To be sure, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has estimated the law will slightly reduce red ink over 10 years. But the office's analysis assumes that steep cuts in Medicare spending, as called for in the law, will actually take place. Others in the government have concluded it is unrealistic to expect such savings from Medicare.

In recent years, for example, Congress has repeatedly overridden a law that would save the treasury billions by cutting deeply into Medicare pay for doctors. Just last month, the government once again put off the scheduled cuts for another year, at a cost of $19 billion. That money is being taken out of the health care overhaul. Congress has shown itself sensitive to pressure from seniors and their doctors, and there's little reason to think that will change.

OBAMA: Vowed to veto any bills sent to him that include "earmarks," pet spending provisions pushed by individual lawmakers. "Both parties in Congress should know this: If a bill comes to my desk with earmarks inside, I will veto it."

THE FACTS: House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, has promised that no bill with earmarks will be sent to Obama in the first place. Republicans have taken the lead in battling earmarks while Obama signed plenty of earmark-laden spending bills when Democrats controlled both houses. As recently as last month, Obama was prepared to sign a catchall spending measure stuffed with earmarks, before it collapsed in the Senate after an outcry from conservatives over the bill's $8 billion-plus in home-state pet projects.

It's a turnabout for the president; in early 2009, Obama sounded like an apologist for the practice: "Done right, earmarks have given legislators the opportunity to direct federal money to worthy projects that benefit people in their districts, and that's why I've opposed their outright elimination," he said then.

OBAMA: "I'm willing to look at other ideas to bring down costs, including one that Republicans suggested last year: medical malpractice reform to rein in frivolous lawsuits."

THE FACTS: Republicans may be forgiven if this offer makes them feel like Charlie Brown running up to kick the football, only to have it pulled away, again.

Obama has expressed openness before to this prominent Republican proposal, but it has not come to much. It was one of several GOP ideas that were dropped or diminished in the health care law after Obama endorsed them in a televised bipartisan meeting at the height of the debate.

Republicans want federal action to limit jury awards in medical malpractice cases; what Obama appears to be offering, by supporting state efforts, falls short of that. The president has said he agrees that fear of being sued leads to unnecessary tests and procedures that drive up health care costs.

So far the administration has provided grants to test ideas aimed at reducing medical mistakes and resolving malpractice cases by negotiation, but has recommended no change in federal law.

Trial lawyers, major political donors to Democratic candidates, are strongly opposed to caps on jury awards. But the administration has been reluctant to support other approaches, such as the creation of specialized courts where expert judges, not juries, would decide malpractice cases.

In October 2009 the Congressional Budget Office estimated that government health care programs could save $41 billion over 10 years if nationwide limits on jury awards for pain and suffering and other similar curbs were enacted.

OBAMA: "The bipartisan Fiscal Commission I created last year made this crystal clear. I don't agree with all their proposals, but they made important progress. And their conclusion is that the only way to tackle our deficit is to cut excessive spending wherever we find it — in domestic spending, defense spending, health care spending, and spending through tax breaks and loopholes."

THE FACTS: Obama's fiscal commission did not simply recommend cutting excessive spending; it proposed that the deficit could only be tamed by cutting $3 for every $1 of new revenue raised — in other words, a painful mix of spending cuts and tax increases. Instead, Obama proposed an overhaul of the corporate tax system that would eliminate loopholes and tax breaks but also reduce tax rates. The net effect would be neutral; it would not reduce or raise any revenue.

Obama has yet to sign on to any of the ideas, even though he promised when creating the panel that it would not be "one of those Washington gimmicks."

OBAMA: "To put us on solid ground, we should also find a bipartisan solution to strengthen Social Security for future generations."

THE FACTS: With that comment, Obama missed another chance to embrace the tough medicine proposed by the commission for bringing down the deficit. For example, he ruled out slashing benefits or partially privatizing the program, and made no reference to raising the retirement age. That left listeners to guess how he plans to do anything to salvage the popular retirement program whose trust funds are expected to run out of money in 2037 without changes.

OBAMA: As testament to the fruits of his administration's diplomatic efforts to control the spread of nuclear weapons, he said the Iranian government "faces tougher and tighter sanctions than ever before."
THE FACTS: That is true, and it reflects Obama's promise one year ago that Iran would face "growing consequences" if it failed to heed international demands to constrain its nuclear program.

But what Obama didn't say was that U.S. diplomacy has failed to persuade Tehran to negotiate over U.N. demands that it take steps to prove it is not on the path toward a bomb. Preliminary talks with Iran earlier this month broke off after the Iranians demanded U.S. sanctions be lifted.

Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, giving the GOP response: "Whether sold as 'stimulus' or repackaged as 'investment,' their actions show they want a federal government that controls too much, taxes too much and spends too much in order to do too much."

THE FACTS: The economic stimulus package passed by the Democratic-controlled Congress in February 2009 didn't raise taxes. Instead, about a third of the package — nearly $300 billion — was made up of temporary tax cuts.

The biggest was Obama's Making Work Pay credit, which provided up $400 to individuals and $800 to married couples. There were dozens of other tax cuts, including a more generous child tax credit, a tax credit for buying a home and a sales tax deduction for buying a car. Many, but not all, of the tax cuts have since expired.

Obama's health care law imposed new taxes, including a penalty for some people who don't get qualified health insurance, starting in 2014. But Obama extended Bush-era tax cuts that were due to expire at the beginning of the year. He also enacted a new one-year cut in the payroll tax for 2011 for just about every wage earner.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time.

The leadership in Philadelphia is becoming part of the California Leftist wing of the Democrat Party. At least it seems that way. We have councilmembers like Frank DiCicco who want to ban plastic bags. We have councilmembers like Maria Quinones-Sanchez who want to use taxpayer money to fund Ecuadorian and Colombian Pride parades while private citizens help fund the Mummers Parade. We have councilmembers like Bill Green that want to tax businesses for every sale they make - basically scaring businesses away from ever wanting to come here or come back here.

Then, there's Mayor Nutter and his food and lifestyle police - otherwise known as the "Get Healthy Philly Initiative". A document on the Philadelphia Department of Public Health's website from this past October states that the Mayor and the City are gearing up for an outdoor smoking ban. That's right, they want to ban smoking on sidewalks and even cite that San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego (all Leftist California cities) have done this already.

Funny how people in, say, Los Angeles, want to "go green" and ban smoking but don't want to get rid of their much-more-detrimental-to-the-environment automobiles - in a City where public transit is useless and they make fun of people who don't drive. Funny how people in, say, San Francisco, want to legalize marijuana - citing personal responsibilities and freedoms - but have banned cigarette smoking on all public sidewalks.It's also funny how the City of Philadelphia sometimes considers your sidewalk public at certain times and private at other times. When it's snowing like it did last night, it's your private walkway and you get fined if you don't shovel a 3-foot path.

If this ban goes through, you'll be fined for smoking on that very sidewalk you're responsible for plowing.Mayor Nutter is a giant hypocrite, one of the worst Mayors in all of the country and shouldn't be telling us how to live our lives. How can a man who supports overturning the death sentence for cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal then go to police officers' funerals?

How can a man who says we all have to "play by the same rules" refuse to use the bully pulpit (except chiming in as loud as a mouse about DROP) and sit along the sidelines while so much corruption goes on in City Hall?

How can a man who says he's all about "lowering crime" and making the City better be more focused on banning smoking and putting warning labels on soda.. and then when he doesn't get his way with his soda tax, he makes cuts to the Police Department?Frankly, people in Philadelphia do not like being told what they do in LA or San Fran.

They don't care - and the more we're unlike those cities, the better. Sadly, there is an influx of hipsters from the Midwest who crowd areas like Fishtown and Northern Liberties and demand everyone to go along with their "new ideas". Smoking is bad for you, sure, but it's a personal responsibility and - the last time we checked - still legal.

It should be up to businesses and private citizens as to whether they allow smoking on their property, not the City. Mayor Nutter and his health Nazis in City Hall want to tell you how they think you should live your life. They want to turn Philadelphia into a place it isn't. They want to act like other cities and not respect the way of life we have here.

Furthermore, they are destroying the very foundation of Liberty that our forefathers sought to produce right here in our backyard 235 years ago.If Nutter and the "Get Healthy Gestapo" don't get their way, it's only certain that we'll see more Police and Fire Department folks get their hours cut back.- AP

WASHINGTON -- In the spirit of the holiday season, President Obama's tax-cut deal with Republicans is becoming a Christmas tree tinseled with gifts for lobbyists and lawmakers. But that hardly stopped the squabbling on Friday, with Bill Clinton even back at the White House pleading the president's case.

While Republicans sat back quietly, mostly pleased, Democrats and other liberals were going at each other ever so publicly. As Clinton lectured on Obama's behalf, Vermont independent Bernie Sanders castigated the agreement for the TV cameras in the mostly empty Senate chamber.

The tax deal, reached behind the scenes and still informal, now includes ethanol subsidies for rural folks, commuter tax breaks for their cousins in the cities and suburbs and wind and solar grants for the environmentalists -- all aimed at winning votes, particularly from reluctant Democrats.

The holiday additions are being hung on the big bill that was Congress' main reason for spending December in Washington, long after the elections that will give Republicans new power in January. The measure will extend Bush-era tax cuts, averting big tax increases for nearly all Americans, and keep jobless benefits flowing.
Republicans generally liked that agreement, worked out by Obama and GOP leaders. Democrats generally didn't, hence the add-ons.

It's all expected to come to a decisive vote next week, total cost by the latest congressional estimate: $857.8 billion.
On Friday, there were contrasting events for public consumption.

On Capitol Hill, Sanders spoke vigorously for 8 1/2 hours in a virtually empty chamber, urging defeat of a measure he said would give "tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires who don't need it." He finally ended his speech, conceding "It has been a long day."

At the White House, Obama turned over the briefing room microphone to former President Clinton who declared, "I don't believe there is a better deal out there." All sides, he said, "are going to have to eat some things they don't like."

The add-ons were being attached behind the scenes.
Almost $5 billion in subsidies for corn-based ethanol and a continuing tariff to protect against ethanol imports were wrapped up and placed on the tree Thursday night for farm-state lawmakers and agribusiness lobbyists. Environmentalists won more grants for developers of renewable energy, like wind and solar.

For urban lawmakers, there's a continuation of about-to-expire tax breaks that could save commuters who use mass transit about $1,000 a year. Other popular tax provisions aimed at increasing production of hybrid automobiles, biodiesel fuel, coal and energy-efficient household appliances would be extended through the end of 2011 under the new add-ons.

The package also includes an extension of two Gulf Coast tax incentive programs enacted after Hurricane Katrina to spur economic development in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.

The ethanol money was added despite a growing congressional opposition to subsidizing the fuel after decades of government support. Last month, 17 Republican and Democratic senators wrote to leaders calling the tax breaks "fiscally indefensible," since there's already a law in place that requires ethanol be blended into gasoline.

"Historically the government has helped a product compete in one of three ways: Subsidize it, protect it from competition or require its use. We understand that ethanol may be the only product receiving all three forms of support from the U.S. government at this time," the senators wrote.

But ethanol still has powerful supporters on Capitol Hill, including Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley, the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee and a key negotiator on the Senate tax bill. Adding the ethanol tax breaks was designed to help shore up the votes of many rural Democratic as well as Republican senators.

But while the add-ons may have won more votes for the Obama-GOP deal the Senate, their potential impact is less clear in the House, where Democrats have criticized the package as a tax giveaway to the rich.
Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson, a conservative Democrat who steps downs as chairman of the House Agriculture Committee in January, says he would have voted against the bill if it had contained some of the clean energy tax incentives and nothing for ethanol.

"I know this will help some members in the House, different parts of this will help different members," he said.
Still, Peterson said the credits for the corn-based fuel probably won't last forever. He said Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, the House's No. 3 Democrat, told the caucus it was important to include ethanol in the bill, and some members booed him. That wouldn't have happened a few years ago, Peterson said.

Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., who lost re-election in November, sponsored the House version of legislation extending the ethanol tax breaks. But he says he still can't support the bill because of his opposition to provisions cutting estate taxes for the wealthiest Americans.

"There may be some that vote for the package that otherwise hate it because of the ethanol provision, but my sense is that ethanol alone isn't going to be something that puts us over the top," he said.

A spokesman for Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., a leader in the effort to win tax credits for wind and solar energy, said his boss still hasn't been won over yet on the package. He said the extension was necessary but not sufficient for Blumenauer's support. "His vote will depend on what the final version looks like," said spokesman Derek Schlickeisen.

Rep. Jay Inslee, a Washington Democrat, also was not won over by the renewable energy extension, despite being a big supporter of the program.

"It's one of the best things we have in the federal government for job creation. It is incredibly important. And it's nuts not to finance it by simply letting the upper-income tax brackets expire," he said. "I think there's a better deal out there potentially available and we ought to fight for it."

And there's the possibility the added goodies will have opposite the intended effect for some lawmakers. Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., said the add-ons could turn his fiscally conservative colleagues against the bill.

"You don't want to be accused out there of supporting stimulus three," he said. "It will knock some votes off in the House, but more than anything it will show the voters out there that things haven't changed with Republicans."

Our Founding Fathers-Faith (Singular)
I think I am correct in saying that from the days of Columbus discovering America to the present this country has and always will be a Christian nation. Our founding fathers and everyone who signed the deceleration of independence was in some way a follower of Jesus Christ.

What made this country a great nation was knowing that some day you have to answer to GOD for your actions. We are all human and make mistakes, but it is our responsibility to fix them and improve our self in this life. GOD does not want trash in heaven and you can not bullshit him. I am insulted that your President said & thinks that this is a Muslim country.

He insults every Christian in this great nation and it needs to be addressed and stopped. He has done everything so far in his short time in office to insult and under mind the faith of the Men who founded this country and they were Christians Evey last one of them.
